This Privacy Policy explains how Elite Gouna(“Elite Gouna”, “we”, “us”) handles the information you provide when you use elitegouna.com(the “Site”) to browse our holiday homes, request a stay, or enquire about our services in El Gouna, Egypt. We are committed to protecting your privacy and only collect what we need to respond to you and arrange your stay.

Who we are

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us through the Site’s enquiry and booking-request forms:

• Contact details — your name, phone number, and (optionally) email or WhatsApp number.
• Stay details — your preferred area, the kind of home you want, number of guests, dates, and any add-on services you’re interested in.
• Identity document — when you submit a booking request for a specific home, we ask for a photo of your government ID or passport. This is used solely to verify your identity and confirm the reservation with the property, as is standard for holiday rentals.
• Messages — anything you write to us in a form, by email or on WhatsApp.

We do not take payments on the Site, so we never collect card or bank details here. Any payment is arranged separately with our team.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and match you with suitable homes.
• To process and confirm your booking request with the relevant property.
• To contact you about your stay, by phone, email or WhatsApp.
• To improve our service and prevent spam or fraudulent submissions.

We rely on your consent and our legitimate interest in answering your request and running our rental business. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Where your information goes

To run the Site and respond to you, we use a small number of trusted service providers:

• Supabase — the database that securely stores your enquiry/booking request so our team can act on it.
• Vercel — hosts the Site.
• WhatsApp / Meta — if you contact us or we reply via WhatsApp, that conversation is handled through Meta’s platform under Meta’s own privacy terms.

These providers process data on our behalf and may store it on servers outside Egypt. We share your information with them only as needed to deliver the service.

Cookies, storage, analytics & advertising

The Site uses your browser’s local storage to remember your details between visits (so you don’t have to re-type them) and to avoid sending the same request twice. This stays on your device and you can clear it any time from your browser settings.

We may use Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and similar advertising and measurement tools to show you our ads and understand how well they work. Where these set cookies or identifiers, they do so under the relevant provider’s policies. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook/Instagram settings and your browser’s cookie controls.

How long we keep your information

We keep your enquiry and booking details only as long as needed to serve you and to keep proper records of our bookings, after which they are deleted or anonymised. ID document photos are retained only for as long as necessary to confirm and honour your booking.

Your rights

Under Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) and similar regulations, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop using it. To exercise any of these, email sales@elitegouna.com.

How to delete your data

To have your personal information — including any ID document you submitted — deleted from our records, send a request to sales@elitegouna.com from the contact details you used, or message us on WhatsApp. We will confirm and complete the deletion within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records by law.

Children

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
